Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration
Creamy. That’s the first word that comes to mind with these Intense Hydration products from Burt’s Bees’. And the scent is just lovely. Before we get into it, here is the explanation on the line directly from the Burt’s Bees website:
This cleanser is, like the name implies, creamy. It doesn’t foam up, it sits more like a lotion on your face as you work it around to cleanse. I personally love cream cleansers, as they don’t feel like they strip all the oil off your face. If you’re a “squeaky clean” kind of girl when it comes to your face, you likely won’t like this product. But if you have problems with dry skin, you should give it a try.
I don’t like the formulation of this cream cleanser quite as much as Yes To Carrots, but the incredible scent (which is natural) makes up for it.
The Day Lotion
Although there is no sunscreen in this lotion, the consistency of the lotion is similar to sunscreen. But, it absorbs completely, and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind. That is something I love about this line; the products are thick and creamy, but they totally absorb. This lotion has left my skin soft and hydrated. I’m very curious to see how it performs in the winter months. That will be the true test. For now though, I’m loving it.
The Night Cream
Thicker than the day lotion, but not by much. And that’s just fine, because it’s still super hydrating, but not greasy. Again, one of the things that attracted me to this line was the naturally light and beautiful scent. It’s calming to me, and I love smelling it on my skin as I’m heading off into slumber land. Plus it’s keeping my skin happy and hydrated.
I have yet to try the eye cream and mask, but if they’re anything like the other products in this line from Burt’s Bees, I’ll love them.
I’d recommend this line to anyone with drier skin on their face. I’ve had no adverse reactions, no irritation or breakouts, even though the products are so thick they leave a white glaze on top of your skin until you rub it in. And the smell… can’t get enough of it.
