TPGP Review: Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm – $8.99

I have very pale lips. So I love to put some color on them. But, I am horrible about licking and chewing on my lips. I think lipstick lasts all of 30 minutes usually.

So lip stains excite me. The problem is, some lip stains can be very drying. After application your lips can feel like a parched desert plain. Nobody likes really dry lips.

Fortunately, Revlon’s Just Bitten Lip Stain doesn’t seem to create that issue, at least not for me. I have seen a few reviews that say it is drying, so perhaps it depends on the state of your lips prior to starting to use it. None the less, it works for me.

So this isn’t a miracle stain that lasts all day, but I can get a couple┬áhours of color out of it before it starts fading. Even then, there’s still a bit of color sticking around hours later.

The stick consists of two sides, one is a felt tip that you apply the actual stain with. Yes, it kind of feels like you’re drawing on your lips with a marker. I like the control this provides. I’ve used stains that you brush on, and it’s very easy to go outside your lip line.

The balm is nice and light, and feels good on. The weird part about it is the balm is constantly lifted up out of the packaging (as shown above), you can’t retract it down into the packaging, so it’s easy to break. I, in all my genius, thought perhaps I could smoosh it down into the packaging, but it ended up looking like what you now see. Word of advice, just let it be.

Overall, for the price, I really like this product. Whether worn alone, or under lipstick to keep some color on your lips once the lipstick has worn off, it seems to do the trick.
