Recently I was looking for a good body moisturizer without a strong scent. Most of my winter-time body butters are heavily-scented so I wear them by themselves, and I wanted something that would allow me to wear perfume without the scents clashing. A salesperson at Ulta directed me to Juice Beauty Green Apple Firming Body Moisturizer – $18. She said it was an excellent moisturizer that also had the benefit of using all organic ingredients. The smell is light and citrusy, almost like Fruit Loops. Additionally, it claims to firm skin, which is not something I care about–I have a very hard time believing a moisturizer will work miracles on my well-earned dimples–but some people do buy it for that reason.
After just a couple days of use, I’ve decided to save this lotion for the summer. It’s not as moisturizing as the other body butter products that I use, and during winter I need all the help I can get. I’ve definitely noticed itchier skin since switching to the Juice Beauty. So, bummer. But, I can see this being the perfect summer product–lighter, easily absorbed, and a refreshing fruit-based scent.
Bottom Line: A decent organic body lotion with a light scent that would work best in humid climates or seasons, but is best left on the shelf in dry weather.
