Vroom Vroom ladies.
The moto trend is hot right now, but I don’t think most of us will be wearing motorcyle jackets for what they are designed for: protection. Well, that’s not completely true. Many of us will wear them for protection from the cold. But as far as providing a second skin, just in case we spill off a motorcycle at high speed? That’s likely not a use most of us will have for these stylish jackets. But why get on board with the moto jacket trend? These jackets tend to create great lines, thus accentuating the right places for us girls. And all those zippers add glints of metallic glimmer.
We’ll just start with a very girly version of a moto jacket. The jacket looks a bit boxy unzipped, but it will hug your curves once it’s zipped up. A jacket to make the Pink Ladies proud. This one is sold by Nordstrom, so shipping and returns are free.
Black with metallic specks, this jacket should speak to any tough girl that likes some sparkle now and then. I like the ability to zip up on whichever side preferred. Best for casual wear with all that chunky hardware.
Forever 21 Free Spirit Moto Jacket – $42.80
Such a great color for fall, but this jacket is only available in x-small through medium. Can be paired with very short cutoff’s or much warmer full length pants.
This jacket leans younger (it’s sold in the juniors section at JCPenney, afterall) but it’s a really fun option if you like a little extra hardware on your jacket. This would definitely have to be layered over warmer gear during cooler days.
A cute, casual option for the girl that likes a jean jacket with some character.
Mossimo® Women’s Ponte Moto Jacket – $29.99
Of course Target has many moto jacket options right now, including this colorblock version in olive and black. An affordable way to add a bit of moto to your closet, and this one is simple enough that it could be worn in an office environment.
Calvin Klein Moto Jacket – $76.99 ($139.50)
Girls that love bright colors, rejoice! There’s a moto jacket for you too.
